Reader Poll !

Gentle Readers, I'm in a need of some advice. This blog is for you and I'd like to make it interesting reading. What topics would you like to see and read about ? More animals and scenery ? Daily life and my job here ? Something else ? Please take a moment and send me a comment (you can do it using the comment button at the bottom of this post). I promise to listen ! xo, Louise

Yes to all! I love seeing what you are seeing - hearing what you're doing. I'm just incredibly curious about your life there - so different from anything I've ever experienced. And I do enjoy the animals and nature info. I read your entries over more than once to take it all in. In fact, I am really really delighted that you are keeping this blog!

All of the above! Most of us will never get to have the kind of adventure you're on, so we're all here vicariously co-adventuring. Even things that may seem dull are novel to me.

Also, if your camera has a video mode, I think it would be highly entertaining to see the occasional youtube video of local fauna doing silly things. Subject to time/bandwidth constraints, of course.

I love every word! Of course the animals are fascinating to me but I love to hear about daily life as well. What a vicarious adventure for all of us!

Hi Louise,
Since Tina Miller told me about your site, I have enjoyed visiting here. I like the animal info as well as details about daily life and your job. Actually, I really love the animals! The photographs are great. Pretty much what others have said, it is a rare experience that most of us will probably never have, so please indulge our vicarious co-adventuring.
So different from Pasadena, California.
Thanks,
Terry Hartley

I just want to say that I stumbled across your blog and I love visiting to see such a different world. I would love to see more pictures (that is what I visit for) but I also would love to hear about your life and job down there. It is just fascinating, and something that I probably will never get to experience. Thanks for sharing with us!

Louise -

The photos and articles about the wildlife are fascinating - keep it up. I'd also be interested in more about what life and work are at an Antarctic research station.

The photos are great and the adventure fascinating. How about a bit about the experiments and the science behind them?
